Would you think this child has bipolar disorder based on these actions?
Q. She is in art class at school and the teacher gives the students an assignment to draw a picture using only their favorite color. This girl's favorite color is red. So she takes a small blade and slices the inside of her palm and presses her bloody hand to her heart. Based on that scenario would that be a symptom of bipolar disorder?
Asked by . - Thu Jun 4 03:11:06 2009 - - 6 Answers - 0 Comments
A. I would say no, ma inly because officially according to the DSM manual bi polar disorder cannot be diagnosed in a child, but that is just a loose guidance, I would say although her behavior is concerning it may be a case of a very imaginative child. Have you tried to talk it over with her and ask her why she choose to do her picture with that method? I think you should have a chat with her and try to get her view on what she did and then go from there, although I would certainly tell a doctor about the incident so that it can be kept in mind. The most important thing is to act with caution, you don't want to create a issue out of this and cause her to feel she is abnormal, stigma sticks and the effect on her self esteem and friendships… [cont.]

In relationships I don't like being directed nor do I like directing. I like synergistic heart based equality?
Q. Anyone else feel the same? This goes for both intimate and friendly relations. Being monitered, audited, bossed around, annoyingly critiqued, constantly adviced and/or rushed and prodded and poked at drives me up the wall and drains my energy. I don't do these things either. Is Kingdom Hearts based off of a book?
Q. A friend of mine told me that the Disney game series, Kingdom Hearts, is based off of a book called, "The World That Never Was". I love the idea, and I really want to read the book, but the problem is, I can't find any information on it at all. According to my friend, Disney bought out the rights to the book, so it's expected that I'll only find Kingdom Hearts information when I search the book title. Any information on the book, or how I might get a copy, or some information on it? Thank you. ^-^

A. What size paper are you starting with? If you are starting with 8.5" x 11" you will have to make it 7.775" x 11" paper for it to come together right in the middle or get A4 paper. Steps 21-24 you are just folding the creases you made in step 17. I hope this helps.

A. Does it hurt to move your arms? Does it hurt to breath? Do you have a cough? How old are you? Do you have hypertension, diabetes, high cholesterol, smoke, any heart disease, over weight? It is hard to advise you what to do with out these answers. If you are pretty healthy and young I suspect it is respiratory related, especially if you have a cold or cough. If you have other risk factors then it could be your heart, especially if you are over 40, have hypertension, high cholesterol, and obesity. It could also be heartburn, or acid reflux. These are all questions that an ER nurse will ask. I need more details.

one of my poems, can i have feedback?
Q. I just cant let it go; Both being the one who thinks of him, and being the only who'll know. The images of our secret past, Are the hopes that continue to last. Waiting for a transparent savior effects the core of my behavior. The night visits only wake me up to a surge of pain; his lost Presence being an everlasting stain. I can't believe he dominates me cuz the only passion resides in the one that's mental controversy. The frost on my window The lights on the tree, is a defining blow that reaches every inch of me. Its hard to predict the pictures they'll be placed And if he'll further be in the way my life is traced. But only having my heart based I know that without him I'd be a waste.

Your use of the word "cuz" instead of the full 'because' unfortunately lightens the impact of the verse, so you may think of changing it. Regarding the second two verses, which I think could be combined into one verse for balance, the content has meaning but not the same impact as the beginning, for me. A. You asked the question and probably gave the best answer. No one truly believes after watching the Clottey fight that Cotto can win this. His defense is lacking and his speed against an opponent like this is non-existant. I see this fight beinga late round TKO (due to cuts). To Cotto's credit he is a warrior and won't quit and can absorb a lot of punishment...in this fight maybe more than what's good for him. Cotto cuts easily and will be hit a lot and Pacquiao will slide away before he can retaliate. This fight is a forgone conclusion and shouldn't happen for that reason.

A. Sometimes people are forced into situations they don't want to be in just to afford to make a living. You're going to have to swallow your pride and move to a location and start all over again if necessary. It might be in your best interest. That's why I point out the importance of getting a good education and job to my children. Good Luck!
